About Love as Medicine
Healing, Connection, Embodiment & Transformation
Love as Medicine is a body of work created by Asttarte Deva and a brand of Asttarte Deva Healing Wellness Center LLC.
It is a home for teachings, experiences and community centered around healing, relationships, attachment, intimacy, embodiment, meditation, breathwork, spirituality, psychedelic preparation and integration, personal transformation and authentic connection.
Love as Medicine brings this work into the world through workshops, retreats, courses, speaking, ceremonies, community gatherings, media and collaborative experiences, as well as select individual guidance and integration work.
Some experiences are led by Asttarte, while others bring together teachers, practitioners, facilitators and community leaders whose work complements the intention of a particular gathering or program.
Where Love as Medicine Began
The roots of this work reach back to the early 1990s, when Asttarte began exploring alternative healing, meditation, personal development and spiritual practice.
Over the decades, her path expanded through meditation, yoga, breathwork, Reiki and energy healing, body-centered practices, Tantra, shamanic and spiritual traditions, emotional healing, relationship and attachment work, grief, coaching and psychedelic healing and integration.
Asttarte began professionally offering healing services in 2001. Her work continued to evolve through years of teaching, writing, facilitating groups, working individually with people and developing her own approaches to healing and transformation.
Love as Medicine grew from that larger journey.
Rather than representing a single healing modality or philosophy, Love as Medicine explores the many ways people learn to return to themselves, connect more authentically with others and bring greater awareness, compassion and love into their lives.
You Start Where You Are
One principle has remained important throughout Asttarte's work:
You start where you are, not where your practitioner or teacher is.
People arrive with different histories, beliefs, experiences, relationships, questions and levels of familiarity with healing or spiritual practice.
You may be encountering this work for the first time. You may have spent decades exploring personal growth. You may be a teacher, healer or practitioner yourself.
There is no single doorway.
Love as Medicine is intended to create opportunities for exploration, learning, healing and connection while honoring the individuality of each person's path.

About Asttarte

About Asttarte
Asttarte Deva is an author, teacher, speaker, healing practitioner and facilitator whose work has evolved through decades of personal exploration, professional practice and spiritual study.
Her path has included meditation, breathwork, yoga, Tantra, somatic and energy healing, movement, sound, relationship and attachment healing, grief work, psychedelic integration, writing and spiritual practice.
Asttarte brings these different threads together through teaching, speaking, writing, workshops, retreats, community experiences and individual guidance. Her approach is experiential and intuitive, inviting people to explore healing not only through ideas, but through the body, breath, heart, relationships and lived experience.
At the center of her work is a continuing exploration of what it means to live authentically, heal deeply, connect consciously and experience love as medicine.
